Yet again, a whole month has passed and my tiny girl is now 4 months old. She’s come on leaps and bounds over the last month and she makes me proud every day.
This month, Ayala is a definitely a lot more chubby. She’s got rolls on rolls and her head is getting pretty big, though she looks even more huge in photos compared to real life. When family see her, they’re always surprised that she isn’t as big as they thought through pictures.
Our routine has been a little bit all over the place this month, with trips to my family’s, uni deadlines etc. Generally, Ayala sleeps from midnight to 9:30am. She feeds every few hours and has started to go even longer stretches between food (up to 5 hours) and naps.
Birth weight: 6lb 2oz
13th March: 11lb 6oz
I haven’t had her weighed at all this month, as I’ve had constant uni deadlines (#BadMumAlert). She must be quite a lot bigger though, as she’s now in between 0-3 and 3-6 month clothes.
Ayala had another cold (as did Louis and I) for a few days. She also seems to have a little bit of sunburn on her legs today (did someone say hottest day in April since 1949?!)
Our little chunk has 6oz bottles every few hours and tends to drain the bottle, except on her morning feed for some reason. You’d think after a 9.5 hour sleep she’d be starving, but nope.
Ayala loves being in water and swimming around. She has a new toy that she absolutely loves. She still enjoys loud music, cuddles and different textures.
Being alone, having a wet nappy.
“Talking” (a lot!)
This is just a list of the stuff I don’t want to forget in the future:
First time swimming
First trip to the seaside
First time trying babywearing
